1. 关于申请背景

关于新西兰博士申请，通常在新西兰八大的网站上，关于商科PhD申请的requirements都会如下所示：

A Master of Commerce with Honours (First Class or Second Class First Division), or an approved equivalent from some other recognised university. BCom(Hons) First Class Honours from the University of Auckland may also qualify.The MBA is generally not sufficient unless substantial research has ben undertaken.

1) A Master of Commerce with Honours

在新西兰的教育体制下，Master默认是两年制的，包括一年授课和一年的Research；Research的学分要占总学分的30%以上。而在有些国家，比如说英国，Master是分为taught Master（授课式）和research Master（研究式）两种，授课式Master并不被新西兰高校认为是一种Master Degree，不满足新西兰商科PhD申请的学术背景要求。

2) BCom(Hons)

BCom(Hons)是Bachelor of Commerce with Honours的缩写。很多人认为本科就可以申国外的博士了，可能就来自于对这句话的错误理解！Bachelor of Commerce with Honours其实是一种学位，全称叫“荣誉学士学位”。是获得了学士学位以后，成绩优异的本科毕业生才可以攻读的一种学位，为期一年，主要是research为主的课业内容，与学士学位（bachelor）不同！

Research Proposal

对于PhD的申请至关重要！请注意，你研究的topics一定要有价值，比如能解决实际的问题，为某一个范围或者领域做出贡献，等等。另外，你的findings一定要在四年以后，你发表thesis的时候，依然很有价值。Proposal结构如下：
