美国大学申请能不能免托福？

第一类：美国高中的学生，不同的在美国读书的时长，可以免托福申请。

比如加州体系的学校：University of California–San Diego：If your native language is not English and your secondary/high school education was in a country where English is not the language of instruction, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination 加州圣地亚哥大学，如果你的第一语言不是英语或者初中，高中不是在一个英语语言国家学习，那么学生是需要递交托福成绩的。

University of Washington

International students whose primary and secondary education took place in Australia, Canada (English-speaking provinces), United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, or the U.S. are exempt from this requirement. Students born in one of these countries yet educated elsewhere are still required to satisfy the English proficiency requirement.

华盛顿大学，国际生中，学生小学以及中学在以下任意国家上学的，可以免托福。（澳大利亚，英语，爱尔兰，新英格兰，美国）。其中如果有些学生出生在以上任意国家，但是在其他地方接受教育的，也需要满足英语语言要求。

第二类：SAT或者ACT达到要求的成绩可以免托福

比如：Syracuse University

The TOEFL or IELTS requirement may be waived in certain situations. The decision to waive the requirement will be based on the strength of your academic performance. Some examples of these include:

1.If you are attending a school in the U.S., or one outside the U.S. where the language of instruction during your entire secondary schooling has been English and you are demonstrating strong academic performance.

2.If you have strong SAT or ACT reading scores (600 on the SAT critical reading section or 27 on the ACT English section).

3.If you are a transfer applicant and have studied or are currently studying at a college or university in the United States for at least one full academic year and have a strong record of academic performance.

The decision to waive the standard requirement is at the discretion of the Admissions Committee so it is recommended that you take the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic as part of the application process if your native language is not English

雪城大学也是可以免托福的，而且有不同的维度。

比如

1,在美国或者在英语为第一语言的国家接受完整的高中教育，且英文运用能力非常好。

2,有优势的SAT或者ACT分数（SAT的CR部分高于600或者ACT英语部分高于27）

3,如果是转学生申请，需要在美国读完整一学年，且有优秀的成绩记录。
