      什么是5G呢？也就是第五代移动通信技术（英语：5th generation mobile networks或5th generation wireless systems、5th-Generation，简称5G或5G技术）是最新一代蜂窝移动通信技术，也是即4G（LTE-A、WiMax）、3G（UMTS、LTE）和2G（GSM）系统之后的延伸。

      目前我国 5G 牌照已经正式发放，华为 Mate20X5G 版 5G 手机也已经发售，5G 技术在全世界不断扩展，也带动了与 5G 相关行业的专业发展。作为我们本科学习通信信息类专业的学生来说，去英国升读硕士的时候，除了我们所熟知的通信工程、电子工程类的专业，不妨了解一下这些学校的5G专业。

1，萨塞克斯大学

专业：5G Mobile Communications and Intelligent Embedded Systems MSc

专业介绍：We've designed this MSc course to give you the up-to-date knowledge and skills needed in modern digital technologies. It's for newly qualified or practising engineers who'd like to extend their knowledge and practical skills in the growth areas of mobile communications and intelligent embedded systems.

      5G mobile communications and intelligent embedded systems lie at the heart of many emerging applications. These include:

- the internet-of-things

- connected and driverless cars

- smart cities

- eHealth

- smart manufacturing.

      You'll study in a dedicated MSc laboratory with the latest hardware and software. And you'll learn from experts in their fields. 专业介绍：This full-time course will cover the practical, theoretical and technological aspects of 5G Communications Systems as they evolve over the coming years.

      You'll gain expert knowledge of the latest technologies that will drive the next mobile, wireless and communications revolution, and evolve our current 4G environment to 5G communications enabled systems. Applications will cover robotics & autonomous systems, UAVs, immersive systems and augmented realities, health monitoring, cyber-integrated systems, and smart grids. Data handling of the expected 50 billion IoT (internet of things) devices coming on-line to monitor traffic, weather, environment, smart agriculture, and even when your fridge runs out of milk, will also be explored.

      5G will provide greater capacity, improved reliability, support at higher rates of mobility, and wider geographical coverage, at even higher data speeds and throughput and many new services and facilities.

      On the course you will engage with experts and specialists whose integrated knowledge will enable you to gain the skills, knowledge and expertise to be part of the definition of the next generation of mobile and wireless communications. These will include:
