外国语学院简介

中国政法大学外国语学院是一所多语种、开放型的教学科研单位。 中国政法大学外国语学院的前身为1994年成立的外语系，2002年改制为学院。目前学院拥有五个硕士学位授权学科专业，一个法律翻译专业硕士点（MTI）和法律英语、法律翻译、法律德语三个本科专业。

学院现有在编教职工112人，其中专任教师96人，行政管理人员16人，外教5人。从教职工人数上来看，我院是法大第二大学院，外院教师除了完成本院法律英语专业、法律德语专业、法律翻译专业和研究生法律外语的教学工作之外，还承担学校本科生、研究生公共外语教学任务，教学语种涉及英语、日语、俄语、法语、德语、意大利语和西班牙语等7个语种。

学院下设五个研究所(英语语言文学研究所，德语语言文学研究所，法语语言文学研究所，俄语语言文学研究所，翻译研究所)，三个教研室(大学英语教研室、研究生外语教研室和西班牙语教研室)和一个硕士专业学位教育中心(MTI教育中心)，一个学生英语写作工作坊（法大写作中心）。

The School of Foreign Languages (SFL) at China University of Political Science and Law is a language teaching and scientific research institution that offers multilingual and open courses. Founded in 1994, it was initially named the Department of Foreign Languages, and in 2002, it was renamed the School of Foreign Languages. Up to now, SFL has 5 authorized disciplines of master’s degree, one professional master’s degree (Master of Translation and Interpretation, MTI), and three undergraduate majors in Legal English, Legal Translation and Legal German.

SFL has 112 full-time faculty members, including 96 full-time teachers and 16 administrators; besides SFL has 5 foreign teachers. In terms of the faculty number, it is the second largest school at CUPL. They are teaching the courses related to Legal English, Legal German, Legal Translation and Legal foreign language learning for postgraduates, as well as undertaking the teaching tasks of public foreign languages for undergraduates and postgraduates. The language of instruction covers 7 languages, including English, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

SFL consists of five institutes, which are the Institute of English Language and Literature, the Institute of German Language and Literature, the Institute of French Language and Literature, the Institute of Russian Language and Literature, and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. There are three departments – the Department of English for Undergraduate Students, the Department of English for Graduate Students and the Department of Spanish Language, one center for professional master’s degree – Master of Translation and Interpretation (MTI), and one English Writing Center (the CUPL Writing Lab).
